ABOUT ME

First off, Jonah hates describing himself in the third person. And the only thing he hates more than that is describing himself. But such is a prerequisite for the whole website thing, so Jonah is doing his best.

Screw it.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve loved to draw. I think it all started in pre-school when I drew ears on a stick figure, and the whole class was convinced they were were sharing crayons with the next Davinci. I was hooked.

A passion for drawing coincided with a passion for movies, and by the age of 10, all I wanted was to be an animator, attempting to apply to Disney’s apprenticeship and finding myself a decade too young. Eventually I caught the acting bug in middle school, which led to Live Action filmmaking in high school. All the while of course, I kept on drawing. I then went to the Rhode Island School of Design, where I graduated with a BFA in Film/Animation/Video and a concentration in drawing, having worked as a cinematographer on countless shorts, and written and directed a few of my own.

Now, I’m working in Los Angeles as a filmmaker, storyboard artist, and generally creative guy. I just want to tell great stories is the beginning and end of it.

When I’m not drowning in the creative process, you can probably find me at the gym, and if not there, I’m definitely in the kitchen making a pie or two. If I’m also not there, you should probably file a missing persons report with the local authorities.
